Maternal mortality is the death of a woman related to pregnancy or childbirth, occurring within 42 days of the termination of pregnancy. It is measured as the number of deaths per 100,000 live births.
What is infant mortality?
Infant mortality refers to the death of an infant between birth and his or her first birthday. It is typically measured as the number of deaths per 1,000 live births.
